Child's desk hutch to Child's Vibrant Bookcase

 This hutch top was no longer wanted and I decided to make it useful without the original accompanying desk.  As you can see it was in good condition, but a little bit of a dated style.

This was a quick and simple update.  I removed the wood trim on top and added a particle board shelf along the bottom.  The hutch already had solid wood bracings to rest the shelf on and I added brackets for additional support.

The bookcase was painted in Country Chic Fancy Frock. Floral transfers and protective polyurethane top coat were added.

The rub-on transfers were Dixie Belle Latin Floral.  I love the bright colors, so cheery for a little girl's room!
